Abstract

This paper focuses on multi-ethnic blending areas, and discusses the mechanism of language ecological change and cultural adaptation. Through theoretical analysis and other methods, this paper combs the characteristics of language ecology in multi-ethnic blending areas, and explains the influencing factors, models and theoretical models of language ecological changes. This paper analyzes the connotation, level and theoretical basis of cultural adaptation mechanism, and discusses the correlation between them in detail. It is found that social development, economic change and other factors promote the ecological change of language, showing gradual and sudden patterns; Cultural adaptation is carried out at material, institutional, spiritual and cultural levels, and is supported by multi-disciplinary theories such as culturology, sociology and psychology. Language ecological change promotes cultural adaptation by spreading cultural concepts, while cultural adaptation reacts to language ecological change by giving birth to new words and influencing language choice. This study provides a theoretical basis for formulating scientific language and cultural policies, maintaining cultural diversity and promoting exchanges and unity among ethnic groups in multi-ethnic areas.
